With Passion

Image
This Easter, we have meditated on the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross and thanked Him for His precious blood. We have also rejoiced that He is not dead - He is alive! So, now what? Well, the season of giving thanks to Jesus isn't over, and while the "Easter" holiday has ended, our hearts full of thanks are still erupting .... so, we now.... celebrate with passion, because He is returning for us one sweet day! study His Word, because we are privileged to have it! worship Him with passion, because He is Lord! serve Him with passion, because time is short and we want to follow Him with all that we are! Praises and honor and adoration to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords who alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life! And through Him, we may be saved! Below is a song of celebration, which I particularly love... "And everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved." - Acts 2:21

Do You Love Me?

Think of a person who you love more than anything. Now imagine that person asking you, "Do you love me?" How would you reply? So if you wonder, "Does God love me?" I can tell you, no matter who you happen to be, reader, that God does love you - with an amazing and everlasting love. You can accurately imagine Him saying to you, "I love you every day, every moment. I gave my one and only Son so that you can know me and know eternal life, because...

I still remember the scene of the crucifixion and realizing what Jesus did for me . After the play, an altar call was given, and I remember telling my mom that I wanted to ask Jesus into my heart. Twenty-five years later, Jesus is more dear to me than ever, and following Him is the most wonderful and meaningful part of my life! As I ponder Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection, I love to consider just how He did it. An angel didn't come to John in a dream and tell him to get up and pray for Jesus to be raised from the dead. God didn't speak to Peter and command him to strike the stone at the door of the tomb three times. God didn't tell the disciples to rally together and march in front of the tomb until God gave the victory. And no one stood before the tomb and shouted, "Jesus, come forth!" The simple, beautiful, powerful, comp...
